Friday, Inova Blood Donor services sent out an e-mail regarding upcoming blood drives for the calendar season.
Due to issues with ordering bobbleheads for the last blood drive, no new ones were given out. Instead, blood givers had the option between Jeff Schultz, Slapshot, Matt Hendricks, or Olaf Kolzig. No offense to those guys (well, relatively speaking), but that was a huge disappointment to the avid collector since they weren’t new.
The first blood drive will take place Saturday, November 9th, 2013 and as a little incentive to sign up, the bobblehead for that blood drive will be revealed after 400 donors sign up. Sign up here for the November 9th blood drive.
There are two more blood drives – Saturday, January 4th, 2014 and Saturday March 1st, 2014. The e-mail had the Kettler Capitals Iceplex logo which could mean they’ll take place at the Caps’ practice facility. However, more dates and locations may be revealed the closer it gets to the day of the drive.
Which players are on the short list to get one? Here are the current Caps who haven’t been immortalized as a whacky wobbler (as a Cap, at least):
