Forest Knolls Elementary Students Show Their Caps Pride
Photos by Ann Moy
Melissa Wilkins, a fourth grade teacher at Forest Knolls Elementary in Silver Spring, MD, loves the Caps. It is evident by the picture of her favorite player, Mike Green, hanging on her classroom door. So, when Wilkins learned that the Capitals were promoting a contest asking local schools to support the team’s playoff run by rocking the red, she went to work. With the help of principal, Don Masline, also an avid Caps fan, she organized her students to show their enthusiasm for the team. The Capitals organization will choose the school showing the most Caps spirit, and the winner will receive a pep rally that will accommodate up to 125 students. Good Luck to Ms. Wilkins and her class!
