Around the NHL in 30 Days: Avs, Stars, BJ’s and Red Wings

Alex Ovechkin attended rookie camp for the training, though he’s far from being a rookie. That’s how motivated he is to prepare for the coming season. As a fan, I’m putting almost no energy into watching football and instead focusing exclusively on hockey, too. But since there’s no hockey on television (and the adult leagues are between seasons), I’m instead reading about these pretender teams that have no chance of winning the Stanley Cup this coming season (because, you know, Washington is already penciled in as the winner). These latest teams are: the Colorado Avalanche, via Mile High Sticking,  the Dallas Stars via Black Out Dallas, the Columbus Blue Jackets via Fire That Cannon, and the Detroit Red Wings via Octopus Thrower (which, by the way, has the coolest name on Fansided’s NHL network). Check them all out and the season will be upon us before we know it.
