Happy Birthday, Dennis Wideman!

Capitals defenseman Dennis Wideman is 28 today. Wideman, of Kitchener, Ontario, was traded from Florida for prospect Jake Hauswirth and a 3rd-round pick near the trade deadline, and has played significant minutes since Mike Green went down with an injury.
Wideman was selected in the 8th round (241st overall) in 2002 by the Buffalo Sabres. He has played in the NHL with St. Louis, Boston, and Florida.
