Kettler Practice Photos – Dec. 10, 2010

A day after a lousy loss, the Caps went right back to work Friday with a morning practice at Kettler Iceplex in Arlington. Alexander Semin, Nicklas Backstrom, Brooks Laich, John Carlson, and Boyd Gordon are all suffering from flu symptoms and did not participate, while Mike Green left early.

Other notes:

  • After practice, Karl Alzner was the last to leave the ice and had puck bucket duties. No word on whether that’s part of rookie hazing. He also emerged from the locker room to sign autographs only to discover that the hoard of children had already left.
  • HBO was there, following Bruce Boudreau and George McPhee around.
  • Brett Leonhardt was caught wondering if he was eligible to play for the Caps against the Penguins in the alumni game before the Winter Classic.
