The South Carolina Stingrays have announced they have signed Rockville, Maryland native Mike Chen.
Chen, 25, has spent most of the season with the Knoxville Ice Bears of the SPHL. The defenseman has played in all possible 40 games in his first professional season scoring six goals, 19 assists for a total of 25 points.
Chen also spent three seasons at Salem State College tallying 13 points in 25 games in his final collegiate season.
