Jason Chimera Plays 900th Career Game

Friday night’s Caps game against the Tampa Bay Lightning marked a milestone for veteran Cap, Jason Chimera.  The 36-year-old left winger known throughout the NHL for his speed and agility played in his 900th NHL game.

The Edmonton, Canada native has registered 344 points (150g, 194a) in 900 career games.  Chimera, fondly referred to by fans as Chimdog, accumulated the points playing with Edmonton, Columbus and Washington.

As for his time with the Caps, he has recorded 172 points (69g, 103a) in 439 games.  He ranks 30 on the franchise games played list.  Chimera has been playing for the Caps since 2009 when he was acquired in a trade with Columbus for Chris Clark and Milan Jurcina.
