T.J. Oshie Scores His First Goal As A Cap

(Caps Outsider)

It took T.J. Oshie three games, but he was finally able to get that first goal under his belt.

With the Caps on a power play in the first period, Oshie found the puck on his stick in the slot from an Evgeny Kuznetsov pass. Oshie immediately fired the puck on net, beating goaltender Scott Darling.

“Yeah, definitely,” Oshie said when asked if that first Caps goal had any sentimental value to it. “I had a couple in preseason, but especially on the power play there (it was nice). Those guys have been feeding me pucks left and right it seems like, and I haven’t been able to put any in. It wasn’t clean, but it found the back of the net, so I’m happy with it.”

Oshie has a career high of 21 goals in a season. Just 20 more to go.
