Capitals Budweiser Beer Bottle

According to the eBay posting, Budweiser had a short-lived promotion, only in Canada, with NHL team logos on their beer bottles. Now, sans the beer, many of these bottles are showing up on eBay.

Guy Boucher Still Thinks Lightning Will Lose Box Score

If you listen to Lightning Coach Guy Boucher, you’d think Tampa Bay’s 4-2 Game 1 victory Friday barely mattered. “They’re a more powerful team than us and some time or another it’s bound to show,” he said after the game. Meet the Red Men

These Caps fans, who call themselves the Red Men, were spotted walking outside Verizon Center on Friday, passing out Caps stickers to fans. They say they’re only doing this for the playoffs but I’m sure someone will request that they make this a regular thing. Hockey writers often find themselves double checking the spelling of names, even ones that they’ve written many times. In fact, I’ve never spelled Coach Bruce’s last name without copying and pasting it from the media guide. So Many Capitals Caps

Capitals fans often find themselves wondering why so many local department stores carry Redskins, Nationals, Ravens and Maryland Terps gear but barely have anything Caps-related. In the last year or so, some of those places have gotten better, like Kohls, but then I walked into Lids, one of those hat-only places at malls. Lids, too, used to have everything but Caps hats, but this time I was delighted to see an entire rack with several to choose from, including Winter Classic leftovers if you still want to reminisce via headware. Slapshot Visits the White House

Slapshot was in attendance for the Annual White House Easter Egg Roll yesterday, and they have a full gallery up on the Capitals’ site. Apparently the Wizards’ mascot was there too, but nobody knew what it was.
