Do you recognize the man in this photo? If you don’t, then you likely don’t pay close attention to who is singing the national anthem while you’re at a Capitals, Wizards, Nationals, Orioles, Redskins or even a Potomac Nationals game.

Master sergeant Caleb B. Green III, a solo vocalist with the United States Army Band, has sung at nearly a season’s worth of Caps games since he was stationed here in 1999.

But if you’re not a sports fan, you still may recognize him, or at the very least his voice, because he sang at a small event known as the Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, which aired on HBO.

Next up for the Hampton, Va. native and father of seven? He’s right back to work as he’ll sing at the Redskins-Cowboys game Sunday.

And since you’re wondering, Green’s favorite Capital is, of course, Mike Green.
