Comparing the Kuzys

(Caps Outsider)

Caps fans who attended the game against Carolina on Tuesday walked away with an Evgeny Kuznetsov bobblehead… in a bird celebration pose.

Caps bobblehead collectors may have already purchased a Forever Collectibles bobblehead of Evgeny Kuznetsov… in a bird celebration pose.

Here are the differences:

The FOCO one is bigger and has bobbling arms. A reader pointed out that the giveaway has better facial likeness that the retail one. The retail one comes with a little rubber band to hold the stick higher on the shaft. The other differences are more obvious, like which leg is raised, the home and away jerseys, no helmet on the new one, a smile on the new one, and obviously a on the new one.

Fans are already bidding upwards of $60 – currently, for the stadium giveaway, though the superior FOCO one sells for $45, which you can pre-order here (it sold out in its first run).

Obviously, it’s not always possible to attend the game when there’s a giveaway, thus creating the secondary market.  However, if having both isn’t important to you, if you’re buying this as a gift, or prefer quality, I’d highly recommend the retail one, especially since it’s the best overall bobblehead of Kuznetsov. Check out the photos of them all below.
