Part of the outdoor experience that the Winter Classic afforded was a chance to tailgate prior to the game. The parking situation around Verizon Center doesn’t lend itself well to such activity, so many Capitals fans took this opportunity to get their pre-game party on. On our walk to the stadium, we encountered many fans engaging in their first hockey game tailgate, so we captured a few photos of the festivities.
