They Are Tearing This Place Apart. But First, Ice Skating!

The ice is still being used at Nats Park. Even after the game was played, several lucky folks (mainly VIPs and Season Ticket Holders) got the opportunity to skate before they tore it apart. Like these guys:

The Capitol is gone, but the reflecting pool is still there.

Beautiful. This should be a permanent fixture.

Then this happened:

Fast-motion is always funnier.

This looks like a scene from Breaking Bad.

This is where Troy Brouwer scored the goal we will never forget. I prayed here.

In between skates, they didn’t bother with the ice resurfacer. They just pushed the rain water around.

Did they really need this netting during the Winter Classic?

They took away the fake snow or whatever that was!

Each spot for photographers were clearly labelled.

It’s like a ghost town. I wonder if this place will ever be relevant again.
