Farewell, Chandler Stephenson!

(Photos by Caps Outsider)

The Caps announced that they traded Chandler Stephenson to the Vegas Golden Knights for a fifth-round draft pick in 2021. It’s a shame it happened this way, but the Capitals simply can’t afford certain guys right now. With Travis Boyd playing well enough for less money, Stephenson was the most expandable player. Way to go, George McPhee, you got yourself another player for a bag of beans.

Stephenson made his debut with the Caps in October of 2015. He scored his first goal about two years later in a 6-2 loss to Vancouver.

Caps fans thank Stephenson for his contributions to the team, particularly for helping the Caps win the Stanley Cup (against Vegas, no less). Here’s all of our photos. We’ll miss that mug.
