Caps Donate Raffle Earnings to Pittsburgh Jewish Foundation

Like many teams, the Capitals hold a 50/50 raffle each game, where the winner gets half the jackpot and the other half goes to charity. With the Pittsburgh Penguins in town, the Caps donated their half of the $38,570 jackpot – $19,825 – to the Pittsburgh Jewish Foundation, in response to the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue last week.

While the Penguins have been doing their part to address this horrific act of terror, it’s always great when other teams chip in, and I’m sure Pittsburgh would’ve done the same for D.C.
