Nicklas Backstrom Bobblehead Review

The Washington Capitals are Stanley Cup Champions and that means one thing… WE GET BOBBLEHEADS! As we detailed already, there are going to be 24 Stanley Cup-themed bobbleheads, produced by FOCO, available come September. Since that’s still a ways away we thought it would be fun to spend that time taking a closer look at each bobblehead included in this lineup.

We all thought this player might not skate in another playoff game after getting a sickening look at his mangled finger but, the return of Nicklas Backstrom with 3 points in the last 2 games of the Eastern Conference Finals to help secure a ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals. He was easily overshadowed by positional counterpart, Evgeny Kuznetsov, but don’t underestimate how important he was to this Cup run and how important it was for Alexander Ovechkin to hand off that silver goblet to him during the on ice celebrations. And now he’s got himself a bobblehead of himself holding that 3 foot trophy.

Somewhere along the line his hair got a bit darker but we’ll move past that. FOCU did their best to find a happy medium between a full beard and the slightly patchy one. The stone cold face might not be the best look for Nicky but throughout his career we’ve come to know that he’s got quite the knack for facial expressions. Regardless of how this bobblehead came out we think it’s impossible to not have Ovechkin, Backstrom, and the Stanley Cup together in your home.

You can order this, and many others, from the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
