Caps Prospect Adam Carlson Loaned to Indy Fuel

Adam Carlson (Sarah Hobday)

Caps goalie prospect Adam Carlson will be loaned to the Indy Fuel per ECHL transactions. The Stingrays issued a release saying he was recalled by Washington. The announcement that he was loaned to Indy will probably come some time tomorrow.  Carlson is 1-1-1 with a GAA of 2.80 this season in South Carolina. He also appeared in four games with the Bears while both Pheonix Copley and Vitek Vanecek were injured at the beginning of the season posting a 2-2-0 record with a 3.03 GAA and .903 save percentage.

Carlson, 23, played one year at Mercyhurst College before signing with the Capitals as a free agent in the spring of 2016. Carlson went 9-11-1 in 2016-17 with the Stingrays in a injury-plagued season.

The Stingrays have three quality goalies and this is a way for Carlson to see the ice on a more consistent basis.
