Bears Fall in OT at Home to the Phantoms

The Hershey Bears were looking to sweep the home-and-home series with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Saturday night at Giant Center. Hershey was also looking to extend their win streak to five games.

Unfortunately for the Chocolate and White, the Phantoms had other plans. The Bears were looking at a 2-1 deficit in the third period when Travis Boyd scored on the power play to tie the game. In overtime, Phantoms forward Jordan Weal netted the overtime winner, giving Lehigh the 3-2 win. Although the win streak came to an end, Hershey is still riding an eight game point streak going into tomorrow night’s game against the Syracuse Crunch.
