Bears Top Baby Pens on Turkey Shoot Night

Coming into tonight’s game at Giant Center, the Hershey Bears had yet to beat the rival Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins. The 2-0 season lead in the series, with both wins in overtime.

That would not be the case tonight as the Bears won 4-0. Bears players Zach SillChristian Djoos, and Ryan Bourque got their first points of the season tonight. Sill and Djoos tallied goals while Bourque assisted Sill’s goal.

Another highlight is the point streak by Paul Carey. With tonight’s goal, Carey has extended his point streak to 12 consecutive games.

Bears netminder Vitek Vanecek recorded his second shutout of the season stopping all 24 of the shots he faced tonight.

The Bears also sported their third jersey for the first time this season, and what a night it was to debut them. The Pens still hold a 2-1 series lead on the bears this season, but there is still a lot of hockey left to play between these two clubs. Maybe the Chocolate and White will need to wear these jerseys every time they play the Pens at home.

After the game tonight, the Bears the Sara Lee & Canteen Vending Turkey Shoot Night. After the game Bears fans had the opportunity to take a shot for the chance to win some Thanksgiving food items. Here are some photos of the event tonight.
