D-Man D’Agostino Signs with South Carolina

Former Cornell University captain and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Defenseman Nick D’Agostino signed with the South Carolina Stingrays today, announced Head Coach Spencer Carbery. The 25-year-old Defenseman split the last two seasons between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL.

In 50 AHL games last season, D’Agostino notched 10 assists. In five ECHL games, he added four points (one goal, three assists). Joe Devin, a Cornell teammate and current Stingrays forward, called D’Agostino, wanting him to sign with the Stingrays.

“Joe spoke highly of the organization, and after talking with the coaching staff, I was the player they were looking for and it seemed like a good fit” D’Agostino said of his decision to sign with the Stingrays. D’Agostino joins Marcus Perrier, Nick Jones, Wade Epp, and Brendan Ellis on the Stingrays blue line so far.
