The long-awaited Alex Ovechkin bobblehead night came to Verizon Center on Thursday as the Caps faced off against the Winnipeg Jets. Though the original giveaway date was advertised in January (and plenty of fans bought tickets to that specifically to get the bobblehead), fans still braved the Polar Vortex to take in some hockey and receive their newest token of their hockey idol. Some folks came just to put them on eBay, during the game.
Also, 19,008 bobbleheads. As this reader points out:
