Jeff Takes the “Ice-Bucket Challenge” for ALS

Over the last few weeks, the latest craze spreading over social media has been the “Ice-Bucket Challenge,” where people raise awareness for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or commonly known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”) by recording themselves dumping buckets of ice water on their heads, challenging three others to do the same, and donating money to the cause.  Several Caps have taken part in this, including Alexander Ovechkin, Karl Alzner, John Carlson, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Eric Fehr, and who can forget Paul Bissonnette’s epic video (depending, of course, if you subject yourself in believing the rumors that he’s coming to DC).

Last night, an acquaintance of mine sent me a text message of him performing the challenge, and nominating me to do it. Here is the video my friend shared with me.

Mispronouncing my last name aside, I have to say Phil did a good job with this video and thanks for the nomination!

Now it’s my turn to do the challenge. I wanted to share the video with you all, because since I lack the financial backing like Biz Nasty to get helicoptered to the top of the mountain and have glacier water dumped on me from the sky, I think this is the next best option I have. So, without further ado, here’s my video of me performing the “Ice-Bucket Challenge.”

Gentlemen, consider this being officially on the clock. I look forward to seeing you perform this tomorrow
