As part of the Washington Capitals Salute to the Military Night, they invited the USA Warriors Sled Hockey team to compete in an exhibition shootout during the 2nd intermission of tonight’s game.
The USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program is designed to give military veterans who have been injured in military action the chance to play hockey in an environment that is suited to their needs.
Three shooters for each team took their turns at the skills competition, and fans were treated to an amazing goal to finish off the contest. Below is a small gallery of photos we captured of the event. Capitals Outsider would like to salute their service, and their hockey skills :
