Caps v. Sabres (Nutshell Edition)

The Caps lost to the Sabres 5-1 tonight, in what was possibly the most important game of the regular season.

The significance is open for debate (weird things could still happen over the 5 remaining games).  So are the specific reasons why they lost.  Lack of connection on their passes, lack of motivation, a bizarre need to act like lemmings and bunch up whenever everyone was in the same zone?

Such analysis requires effort, and let’s be honest: it was a Tuesday night game.  So for those who don’t want to have to think too hard, are sick of the whole mess, or would just like a convenient target for their frustrations over the night’s loss, we at Capitals Outsider have thoughtfully provided one for you:
