During the press conference after Friday’s 5-3 victory against Atlanta, a Russian reporter told Coach Bruce Boudreau that Alexander Semin said the biggest step in elevating the team to winning the President’s Trophy is the coaching.
Boudreau’s head jerked back in apparent shock and the room burst into laughter. “He’s right on, isn’t he?” Boudreau joked. “It’s the first time I ever heard a quote from Alex… I’m pretty touched by him saying that.”
When asked what Boudreau thinks is the reason, he responded by saying the gradual maturity of the players.
