CuJo Barely Plays, Wins Player of Game

It made me sick to watch, but after the Capitals’ 3-2 overtime loss to Toronto on Tuesday, the player of the game went to the Leafs’ 41-year-old Curtis Joseph, who played only six minutes in net after Martin Gerber got kicked out for pushing the ref. Joseph made nine saves, not including all three shootout attempts.
I couldn’t find this stat anywhere, but I can’t imagine a player in history playing only six minutes and earning star of the game. Something interesting to witness. And it had to be against the Capitals. Sigh. Video after the Jump.
