The Washington Capitals kicked off their annual training camp this past Thursday, the start of a 19-day camp before the NHL regular season begins.
On Saturday, we visited their practice and saw Hagelin, Dowd, Stephenson, Eller and Orlov getting back at it.
This season is going to be an interesting one, as the team has been through many changes in the roster. This can be very good for the team, as we all know that the team needed some changes. We shall see how the acquisition of Hathaway, Leipsic, Panik and Gudas plays out. Last season, the Caps had the challenge of coming back to the regular season after a very short, wild and well deserved summer after winning the Stanley Cup, and adapting to new coach Todd Reirden.
Over the weekend, Hagelin, Hathaway and Panik caught our attention as they were very physical and focus in the practice and scrimmage at training camp. Here are some photos:
