Caps Win $350,000, #notmypresidentstrophy
YEAH! MONEY! (Caps Outsider)
With a 2-0 win against the Rangers on Wednesday, the Washington Capitals earned themselves a bonus of $350,000 from the NHL, which the team splits between those involved. The win also gives them home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. And finally, they also get their name on a paper-weight of a trophy called the ‘Presidents’ but no one cares about that.
It also marked the third time in franchise history the Capitals clinched that thing, which is definitely a step above a participation award but could also be renamed the Jinx Trophy. But hey… $350,000.
Now let’s watch Kuzy.
