Movembears Finish Strong
Hershey’s Tyson Strachan got to show off his mustache with the Caps. (Caps Outsider)
It wasn’t just the Caps who participated and raised money for Movember – the Hershey Bears did so as well, getting donations down the stretch to raise more than $1000. Movember Captain David Leggio led the way with $305, followed by Joel Rechlicz with $300. Here are the leaders for the Movembears:
- David Leggio $305
- Joel Rechlicz $300
- Garret Mitchell: $150
- Dane Byers: $75
- Chay Genoway: $75
- Matt Watkins: $40
- Philipp Grubauer: $35
- Tomas Kundratek: $25
- John Mitchell: $25
- Tyson Strachan: $25
- Jeff Taffe: $25
- Derek Whitmore: $15
In total, 12 Bears participated to raise money for men’s health cancer awareness. The Bears finished third among AHL teams in donations, followed by the Lake Erie Monsters and Bridgeport Sound Tigers. However, this isn’t a competition for bragging rights – it’s all about raising money for a great cause and having fun doing it.
Thanks to everyone who donated to our bears #movember page! Raised 1.1k! Now this mo has got to go
