Hey, look! It’s a first line center with a second line center. Unrestricted free agent Mike Ribeiro, who will probably not be returning to the Capitals due to the fact that he proved he’s worth more than what’s in the budget, posed for a photo with NHL legend Wayne Gretzky. This photo was taken at a hotel Resto, a place where rich people stay.
Here’s what these two have in common:
Gretzky led the league in shooting percentage in 1983-84. Ribiero led the league in 2007-08. Ribiero also led the league in power play assists and points (tied with Alex Ovechkin) this season, which we’ll assume Gretzky did at some point in his career more than once.
