Ovechkin Crushes Jagr

AUTHOR: Phil | IN: Video | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

Alex Ovechkin just laid out Jaromir Jagr of the Czech Republic in their Olympic match-up. The hit led to a turnover, and a 2 on 1 break with Alex Semin setting up Evgeni Malkin for the game winner. The play is definitely the highlight of the Olympic Hockey Tournament so far, and featured a disappointing former Capital getting crushed by the new face of the franchise :

Capitals Become Must-See TV

AUTHOR: Ben Sumner | IN: News | COMMENTS: None Yet

Who can ask for more intense games to watch than those that the Caps have played recently? Down 4-1 on national television to the Penguins, only to win it in overtime, and down 5-2 going into the third period to Montreal and losing with 7 seconds left in overtime… This hockey is about as good as the regular season gets. Maybe not as good as a couple of years ago when the Caps had to win the majority of their final games to make the playoffs, but with a long winning streak on the line it is certainly interesting (let’s [...]

Who’s Your Daddy Ovie?

AUTHOR: Phil | IN: Video | COMMENTS: None Yet

From a Capitals fan on YouTube:
My tribute to the biased NBC coverage of the 2/7/2010 Capitals Penguins game. The Caps ran their streak to 14 straight wins on the back of an Alexander Ovechkin hat trick – proving that NOBODY is his daddy!
