Alex Ovechkin just laid out Jaromir Jagr of the Czech Republic in their Olympic match-up. The hit led to a turnover, and a 2 on 1 break with Alex Semin setting up Evgeni Malkin for the game winner. The play is definitely the highlight of the Olympic Hockey Tournament so far, and featured a disappointing former Capital getting crushed by the new face of the franchise : The videos have been removed from YouTube, but we found a Russian version :

In this area, Kohls department stores carry plenty of Redskins and Ravens shirts, hats and jackets, and the Silver Spring store has practically an entire section of Terps stuff. Who can ask for more intense games to watch than those that the Caps have played recently? Down 4-1 on national television to the Penguins, only to win it in overtime, and down 5-2 going into the third period to Montreal and losing with 7 seconds left in overtime… This hockey is about as good as the regular season gets.
