The Stanley Cup Is in Town
Mr. Stanley, meet Mr. Pulitzer.
The Stanley Cup made a visit to The Washington Post and later, Yard House in D.C. on Monday. Then I’m sure it went somewhere else where people ogled and drooled over it.
A couple of things I hadn’t noticed before:
There’s an entire block devoted to ‘SEASON NOT PLAYED’ in 2004-2005.
The bottom is all scratched up, after it was fixed up this past ~September, according to the Keeper of the Cup. Because of its schedule, it likely won’t get fixed again until next September.
Here are some photos, videos and tweets we collected today.
