Bobbleheads

Vote for the Next Caps Bobblehead By Forever Collectibles

(Caps Outsider)

After the Caps won the Stanley Cup, and after a series of bobbleheads were planned of most Caps holding the Cup, Forever Collectibles announced Braden Holtby’s The Save, then took ideas and made Evgeny Kuznetsov’s birdman celebration, Alex Ovechkin lifting the Cup for the first time, Devante Smith-Pelly wearing a championship belt, and the one we pitched, T.J. Oshie on the Metro.

Buy those here.

If the idea is good and the demand is right, Forever Collectibles is willing to make more. So we asked our readers to weigh in on social media.

The most suggested ideas we heard: Oshie drinking a beer through his shirt, and Ovechkin doing a keg stand in the Cup. Unfortunately, these bobbleheads need to be approved by the NHL and the NHLPA, so those won’t happen. Instead, you’ll have to admire the wonders of Bobblehouse’s Oshie prototype.

Another idea we had was Tom Wilson holding the Stanley Cup with a Castaway Wilson volleyball in it, but that didn’t actually happen. Perhaps it doesn’t matter that it didn’t happen? Maybe we’ll suggest it anyway. We also got various requests for those awkward fist-bump moments from last season.

Here are the five most realistic ideas we heard by multiple people. Note that Forever Collectibles has the final say, not to mention the NHL and NHPA. Photos for the concepts below.

UPDATE: Ovi/Backstrom won the vote. We’ll pitch it!

A double bobble?
Lars Eller’s classic celebration. Or maybe his goal?
Brett Connolly.
This would be a weird bobblehead.
