Stingrays Week 11 Recap: End On A High Note

The Stingrays ended the season with a home-and-home with the Atlanta Gladiators. The two teams split the games with the home teaming winning both.

On Friday, the Gladiators scored four goals in the second period on their way to a 4-2 win over the Stingrays. The Stingrays offense came from Steven Whitney and Tim McGauley who had a goal and an assist apiece. Tommy Hughes also had an assist in the game.

Saturday, Parker Milner had 22 saves in the 3-1 win. Special teams where a huge factor in the games ass the Gladiators went 0-for-5 on the power play while the Stingrays went 2-for-5. The Stingrays goals came from Patrick Gaul, Whitney, and Frankie SimonelliKelly Zajac had two assists in the game.

Standings: The Stingrays sit five points behind the division leading Florida Everblades and seven points ahead of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, who they have two games in hand on.

Week ahead: The Stingrays host the Everblades for two games in Charleston this weekend looking to gain ground in the division.

Injury Update: Goaltender Adam Carlson has come off of injured reserve but has not yet played yet. He has backed up the last two games. Expect him to return to the net soon.
