For the Caps, It Shouldn’t Hurt So Bad, But It Does
The Caps had the Panthers beat three games in a row, but...
No, that’s not Santa Claus and it’s not Christmas.
The Capitals and Penguins had a special guest in the stands at Verizon Center on Thursday. It was none other than former late night TV host David Letterman, and his playoff beard.
It wasn’t clear who Letterman, who is from Indiana, was rooting for, but we assume it was the Capitals, although he wasn’t rocking any red.

The most recent news we can find about Letterman is that his mother, who was frequently featured on his show, passed away earlier this month.
We couldn’t find much on Letterman and hockey other than this video.
