Stingrays Trade Lee Moffie for David Pacan

The Stingrays traded the rights to defenseman Lee Moffie to the Missouri Mavericks for the rights to right winger David Pacan. Moffie, 25, played 63 games with the Stingrays last season, including 21 in the playoffs, notching a total 31 points (four goals, 27 assists).

Pacan, 24, began his professional career in the OHL with the Niagra Ice Dogs. After two seasons in Niagra, he jumped to the ECHL, signing with the Cincinatti Cyclones in 2012-13. After a full season with the Kalamazoo Wings, he returned to Cincinatti in 2014-15. In 184 ECHL games, Pacan has 137 points (38 goals, 99 assists), 165 PIM, and a plus-18 total. Pacan also spent 20 games in the AHL with the San Antonio Rampage, Utica Comets, and Norfolk Admirals, earning three points (one goal, two assits).

The trade does not guarantee either player a contract with their new team.

UPDATE: Announced at noon on September 30th, the Stingrays have agreed to terms with David Pacan. Pacan will report to Stingrays Training Camp next week.
