After the first day of Washington Capitals’ rookie camp, I spoke to Matt Petgrave.
Matt Petgrave (#92)

Petgrave is a free agent invite to rookie camp. He played for the Oshawa Generals of the OHL for the past two years. Last season, he was named a finalist for the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the league’s most outstanding defenseman. His career high for goals is 1o, which happened this past season (according to hockeydb.com). In 2011-2012, he played 28 games with three goals, a career low. Also, he was tied for seventh in points for D men with 50 points, despite being out of the lineup for 18 games with a broken wrist. Matt was a member of the Owen Sound Attack which won the 2011 OHL Championship. Petgrave spent his summer hanging out in his hometown of Brampton (Ontario).
