Stingrays Week 12 Recap: Split

The Stingrays played a critical two game series against the Florida Everblades. The Rays started the weekend series seven points behind the Everblades, after splitting the weekend.

On Friday, the Stingrays scored three times in the first period and never looked back winning 5-2. Parker Milner made 23 saves in the win while Joe Devin, Steven Whitney and Dylan Margonari all had multi-point nights.

On Saturday, the Rays kept Milner in the net who allowed four goals in just over five minutes. Adam Carlson would takeover after the fourth goals and finished the game. This was his first action since a groin injury he sustained in his first game of the year with the Stingrays. He made 27 saves and allowed one goal.

Standings: After the split, the Stingrays are now nine points behind the Everblades after Florida won on Sunday. The Stingrays have two games in hand.

Week ahead: The Stingrays will be at home for all four games this week. Tuesday they host the Norfolk Admirals, Friday is the Atlanta Gladiators, Saturday the Orlando Solar Bears are in town and the week closes with a Sunday matinee against the Jacksonville Icemen.
