Brouwer, Backstrom Beautify a School

Photos by Caps Outsider

Saturday marked another D.C. Public Schools Beautification Day event, when volunteers gather to spruce up  schools across the District. This year, Monumental Sports & Entertainment sent Caps Troy Brouwer, Nicklas Backstrom, Wizard Glen Rice Jr.  and recent Mystic Jessica Moore to help beautify Neval Thomas Elementary School in Northeast Washington.

“It’s such a fun thing to do, such a good cause,” said Brouwer, who has a young daughter himself. “You don’t have to twist people’s arms or you don’t have to try and make people come out to these events. They want to come out and help.”

Former Caps Mike Ribeiro and Matt Hendricks participated in the past.
