For the second straight week, when the Wizards and Capitals played on the same night, the Wizards, with their bottom-of-the-standings record, got top billing on Comcast SportsNet, while the Capitals were pushed to CSN+, which many subscribers don’t even get. As a P.G. County resident, once again I switched to Comcast channel 25, only to see another message displayed ‘This channel will be available shortly.’

A Bob’s Big Boy burger coupon when the Caps pitched a shutout. Best of all, a pizza coupon when the Caps scored six goals, which usually happened in the third period as the fans chanted ‘Pizza! Pizza!’

The Capitals honored team founder and longtime owner Abe Pollin Wednesday with a moment of silence before the game against Buffalo.
Coach Boudreau spoke briefly about Pollin after the Capitals’ win. “For what he’s done for Washington, it’s a great loss… If it wasn’t for him, the only team that might be here is the Redskins… It’s a great loss for the city and the people of Washington.”
