Terik Paraschak Signs Entry-Level Contract at Caps Dev Camp

Day 4 of Caps Development Camp took place on Friday at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, as young prospects continued to show off their skills. The drills included on-ice testing, goalie ice, and positional play for both forwards and defensemen.

Forward Terik Paraschak continued to make progress in Development Camp with his speed, skating, puck-moving, and goal-scoring abilities that showed why the Capitals drafted him in the first round in June.

Paraschak’s day got even better as he signed a three-year entry-level contract which will carry an AAV of $975,000, so we should expect him to be useful for this organization.

Another forward who has looked strong in Development Camp is Ryan Leonard, Washington’s first-round pick in 2023, but don’t expect him to suit up for this upcoming season as he plans to return to Boston College in 2024-25.

During the defenseman position play skills, 2024 second-round pick Cole Hutson looked to show impressive backwards skating abilities while handling the puck well.

Five goalies suited up for skills today, as 2024 fourth-round pick Nicholas Kempf looked impressive making some key saves from players and coaches, with one of the coaches being former Capitals goaltender and 2018 Stanley Cup champion Braden Holtby.

Other notable prospects in this Development Camp include forward Ilya Protas, 2024 third-round pick and younger brother of current Cap Aliaksei Protas, forward Miroslav Satan Jr., 2024 seventh-round pick and son of former NHL player Miroslav Satan, and defenseman Eric Charpentier, a free agent invite and native of Silver Spring, Md.
