A Brief History of Hershey Teddy Bear Tosses

The annual CommunityAid & WGAL Teddy Bear Toss is here! Fans collect teddy bears to bring them to Giant Center. Once the first goal for Hershey is scored, the chaos ensues. Teddy bears fly all over the stadium to be given as a donations for the kids through CommunityAid. Fans love it and it is for a good cause. This is something the NHL should consider.
Check out the stats from the last few years:
The current record is 28,815 teddy bears thrown by the Calgary Hitmen in 2015. There has been a social media push by fans with the hashtag #Hershey30KChallenge to break the record this season. One of the biggest contributors is Brock from The Old Barn Hockey Show.
My favorite game of the year!! ❤️ We just delivered 5,050 🐻s from Mechanicsburg and Gabby’s Acts of Kindness. We can do this @TheHersheyBears fans!! #Hershey30kChallenge #TeddyBearTossHershey #BearsCares pic.twitter.com/iOsjop9bKN
