Caps Celebrate German Heritage Night
The Caps celebrated German Heritage Night on Thursday, part of a series of nights honoring the heritage and culture of the native homeland of their players. Backup goalie Philipp Grubauer is the only Cap from Germany, so it’s a shame German Heritage Night wasn’t last Friday, when he won on his 25th birthday. He also did a postgame Q&A with fans.
Caps Outsider was supposed to attend this magnificent event, but got sick and had to blog from home using photos on social media, so sorry if you’ve already seen these.
Other Heritage Nights:
- Jan. 3 (Caps vs. Maple Leafs) – Canadian Heritage Night
- Mar. 6 (Caps vs. Stars) – Swedish Heritage Night
- Mar. 23 (Caps vs. Blue Jackets) – Russian Heritage Night
Perhaps the coolest thing a fan could’ve picked up was the Washington Capitals Beer Stein.
#CapsGermanNight is Thursday! Ticket package includes exclusive Oktoberfest beer stein & postgame Q&A with Grubi!
