*Reader Warning. Do not read this fight if you haven’t seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This fight recap will ruin everything for you if you read it. Just go watch the movie and come back to read this recap again later.*

A lot of people don’t know this, but Nate Schmidt is a gigantic fan of Star Wars.

The movies? He’s seen them all. The video games? He’s played them all. Collectors items? He has them all.

Before every game, Schmidt finds someone to talk to about Star Wars. And since the latest movie has been out for several months, he has had plenty of opportunity to talk about the movie with all of his teammates.

Today, Schmidt walked in with Andre Burakovsky. Burakovsky has seen Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He thought it was okay, but nothing special.

Schmidt loved it. And he was telling Burakovsky all of the different parts he enjoyed.

“Remember when Rey almost sold BB8 Burky? I loved that part.”

“Ooooh, how about the time when Fin found Poe Dameron’s jacket, and he put it on because he thought he was dead?”

“Didn’t you think it was funny to see how moody R2D2 was in that movie?”

Andre just nods along with each question. Again, he thought the movie was just okay, nothing special. But he and every other Capital knows that it’s just best to let Schmidt ramble on about the latest Star Wars movie.

Schmidt and Burakovsky turn around the corner, and walk down a long hall. At the other end, Max Domi was walking towards the Coyotes’ locker room, which was right behind Schmidt and Burakovsky.

Schmidt continues rambling on about Chewbacca and the Millennium Falcon. Domi hears this, and yells across to Schmidt “Hey man, can you keep it down? I still haven’t seen the movie yet.”

Schmidt immediately sees the opportunity to ruin his opponent’s day.

“Han Solo is Kylo Ren’s father. Kylo Ren kills Han Solo.”

That pretty much sealed the deal that the two were going to fight.

The fight itself really didn’t last all that long. Domi went right after Schmidt and snuck in a few quick punches to Schmidt’s surely smiling face. Schmidt answered with one big blow, and then the two fell down.

And…..the winner is……DOMI! That’s alright Schmidt. You barely lost and you ultimately spoiled a popular movie for an opponent, so you really did kind of win.
