Braden Holtby Breaks Single Season Caps Wins Record
(Caps Outsider)
With his 42nd win of the season Tuesday, Caps goaltender Braden Holtby broke the team’s single season record for goalie wins. He topped a two-way tie of 41 shared between himself and Olaf Kolzig, who won those in 1999-2000, the year he won the Vezina Trophy.
Holtby also leads the league in wins this season as well, and is now shooting for Martin Brodeur‘s all-time goalie record with 48 wins in a season, which he did in 2006-07.
Congrats, Holtby!
Congratulations to @Holts170 for breaking the Caps single season wins record!
