Worst Caps Jersey Ever

God bless the NHL and its attempts at generating revenue. While surfing my favorite website for cheap jerseys, I found this. According to the NHL, these are called the Black Ice Collection. They made these jerseys for a few players, including Ryan Miller, Ryan Kesler, Jonathan Toews, and our beloved captain.

This is by far the worst thing I’ve seen the NHL put out in recent memory. Call me old-fashioned, but jerseys are a symbol of pride. I wear my Alex Ovechkin Winter Classic jersey as often as I can, to announce to everyone that I love my team and that I share in their ups and downs (although this may be on a greater scale for me, since I live in Islander/Ranger/Devils country.) They should never be tampered with just to make a few extra dollars.

If you’ve already bought one, I forgive you. People make mistakes all the time. Just please don’t wear it in public and don’t tell anyone that you actually wasted your money on it. And hopefully the NHL’s marketing department will actually consult the fans the next time they decide to try out a disaster such as this.
