Good Lord Was That a Boring Win Box Score

Happy Birthday Tyler Sloan!

Washington defender Tyler Sloan, #89, of Calgary, turns 30 today. Sloan was undrafted and has played in the minor leagues, including Hershey, since 2000. Also happy birthday to former Cap and Crosby-killer David Steckel, who is 29 today. Steckel, of Westbend, Wisconsin, was drafted 30th overall by Los Angeles in 2001, but played his entire career in Washington up until getting traded to New Jersey for Jason Arnott.

The Green Jerseys Were Ugly Box Score

What a day. The Caps wore green warm-up jerseys, fans took shots at NBC with Joe B. support signs, DJ Pauly D chilled in the Caps’ locker room, and the Caps won, 4-3 in overtime against the defending Stanley Cup champs, Chicago. Click on the box score for a larger version.
