As part of Alex Ovechkin Appreciation Night, the Washington Capitals unveiled Ovechkin’s The Gr8 Chase Goal Throne. For now, it has been constructed with 802 pucks, representing Ovechkin passing Gordie Howe on the all-time goals list. The plan is to update the throne with more pucks as Ovi continues to score goals in pursuit of the Great One, Wayne Gretzky. Fans can pose for photos with the throne themselves on the 100 level.
