T.J. Oshie, Brenden Dillon Get Post-Game Cobra Kai Headbands
via the Caps
After the Caps’ 6-4 victory against the Sabres on Thursday, coach Peter Laviolette told the team that he watched the Netflix series Cobra Kai, so he got a couple of headbands to award to players after the game. One was for the best offensive player of the game, T.J. Oshie, who had a goal and two assists, and the other went to the defensive player of the game, Brenden Dillon, who scored a goal and got into a fight.
Like the Nationals hardhat, the Honest Abe, and other postgame victory awards, this one is likely to be given out after every win this season. We just hope they’re put into the washing machine after use.

Some of us at @CobraKaiSeries have a new favorite hockey team. Much love to the @Capitals for awarding Cobra Kai and Miyagi Do headbands to their offensive and defensive players of the game. #GoodCoaching #CobraKai #Netflix https://t.co/io5UJiwkUl
