The American Hockey League announced today that it has canceled the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season and the Calder Cup Playoffs due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis.

“The safety and health of our players, coaches, staff, fans, and community has always been of the utmost importance, so we understand and support the difficult decision made by the American Hockey League to end the season due to this global health pandemic,” said Vice President of Hershey’s Hockey Operations, Bryan Helmer.

The Bears finished the season with a 37-18-3-4 record, good for 81 points, and second place in both the Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference.

The AHL’s standings – sorted by points percentage – and statistics as of March 12, 2020, are considered final and official, and will serve as the basis for determining league awards for the 2019-20 season.
